Kathryn Barrows is an award winning television Producer, Cinematographer, and FAA certified Drone Pilot.
Seeking stories of challenge, exploration and adventure, Kathryn brings a constant curiosity and enthusiasm for life in the outdoors. She has filmed documentary projects in the far flung corners of the globe, from the polar desert of Antarctica, to the African Savanna, to the jungles of Fiji. Kathryn has even filmed - and flown a drone - on the Arctic sea ice at the Geographic North Pole!
A fierce competitor in marathons, obstacle course races, and other endurance challenges, Kathryn is an avid runner, skier, climber, and mountaineer. Kathryn is also a former National Ski Patroler with over 100 on-mountain rescues. She is a PADI certified Open Water Diver, and a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). Kathryn and her German Shepherd: K-9 Gusto, are current members of MARK9, a Canine Search and Rescue Unit.

Extensive experience shooting in remote areas and extreme conditions. Responsible for directing and operating cameras, while driving story forward, managing talent, and communicating daily field reports to post-production team.
Head of Production and Producer/Shooter/Editor for Plum TV, a lifestyle cable television network with stations in eight markets including Miami, Telluride and Martha's Vineyard. Created travel and adventure series, celebrity profiles, lifestyle features, event coverage, and local advertisements. Developed over twenty hours of original programing for Plum TV, including the Telly Award winning series: Edible Island with Chris Fischer. Responsible for directing a live, daily talk show. Supervised the production team, talent, and freelance crew, managed client relationships, content development, production delivery and scheduling. Oversaw all technical operations, media management, and efforts to continuously improve internal process, workflow and standards. Worked directly with the sales team in client-facing creative meetings to help bring in local advertising accounts. Liaison to the Plum corporate office and collaborated on integrated content creation for national brands including American Express, Chase, and Mercedes.
